What do you do, When you have nothing to do ?
Action is key when you're bored. Build—your body, mind, spirit, or relationships.
The trick? Have a default activity. Know exactly what you’ll do with free time—listen to a book, review Anki, work out, go for a walk, FaceTime somebody.
Or do nothing. Sit in silence, embrace boredom. Let your mind wander. Some of the best ideas come from stillness.
Struggling to start something? Make it so easy you can't skip it. Just five minutes. The Hardest part is taking that first step.
Do the right thing. Delay gratification. Focus on long-term success, not short-term comfort.
Treat life like an adventure. If things feel mundane, shock yourself. Push your limits with a Misogi—something so challenging it redefines what you think you can do.
e.g. Read a book in a day 📖
📚 What I’ve Learned This Week
The Power of Laughter in Human Connection
NASA once tested astronauts for emotional intelligence by having an interviewer fall and laugh at themselves. The candidates who laughed along and encouraged them showed higher emotional intelligence.
This reminded me of how powerful laughter is—it builds connections and helps us navigate life’s challenges.
You don’t have to fake it, but finding humour in life keeps you from becoming a pessimist. I’m striving to be a relentless optimist and see the lighter side of things.
The Hidden Costs of Social Media
I came across a ted talk that pointed out how little free time we actually have left.
The average 18-year-old spends so much time on social media that it's eroding their ability to focus.
If you had to pay for your favourite social media app every month, how much would you? The reality is—you’re already paying with your time.
This made me more conscious of how social media subtly shapes our thoughts and decisions. The more time we spend reflecting and living intentionally, the more we can build a life true to ourselves.
The Importance of a Good Setup , environment trumps will =>
I started using a keyboard and mouse again, and honestly, I don’t know why I ever stopped—it’s been a game-changer.
Having a good desk setup makes a huge difference in productivity and focus.
Small changes in your environment can have a big impact on how you work and feel.
